THE SPIRIT BEHIND: 

The School was founded by Sh. J.P. Kapoor, a very dynamic personality, the spirit behind this noble venture. This charismatic personality had carved a niche in every body's heart. He was a superb administrator known for uprightness and impeccable integrity.

The BalNiketan Model Senior Secondary School Society was set up to fulfill his dream of providing quality education to all at an affordable fee structure. One of the main objectives of this institution is to eliminate ignorance & help the nation in achieving the goal of value based quality education for all.

BAL NIKETAN MODEL SR. SEC. SCHOOL (A Co-educational institution) was established in 1968. It is recognised by Chandigarh administration & affiliated to C.B.S.E., New Delhi. By dint of hard work of the staff and the Principal, the School blossomed into one of the most famous institutions in the City Beautiful. The School has earned a name in the field of academics and other Co-Curricular activities & is known for giving outstanding results in all spheres year after year.

Institution has its own campus with playground which caters to the needs of students playing games etc. In order to build the character of the students, moral and ethical instructions form a compulsory part of the curriculum.
